Created in the deep stillness of the midnight hours. This piece is an exploration of the quiet energy that only exists when the world falls asleep. Through heavy texture and a monochromatic palette, "Fragments of Night" captures the rhythmic pulse of solitude. Each vertical stroke represents a moment of clarity found in the silence, a physical manifestation of peace and reflection.

This work utilizes a heavy Impasto technique, where thick layers of paint are sculpted onto the canvas to create a physical relief. By using palette knives and structural tools, I build vertical 'monoliths' of color that catch the light differently as you move around the room. The dark, recessed areas are painted with thin glazes to create a sense of infinite depth behind the textured foreground.
